Hi there i love to play steam games on my pc but i was wondering if it was possible to use my ps3 controller. I would want to use it like the 360 controller on steam and I would also like to use it wirelessly over bluetooth if possible.

There are unofficial drivers that you can download that allow you to use a PS3 controller with your PC. I've gotten it to work with the USB cable connecting the two. Just google it.

Google Motion in Joy for a great way to use your PS3 DS3 on the PC. It can emulate the Xbox 360 controller, so it works with steam, and has bluetooth support. It may take a good 15-20 mintues to get it going, but it's worth it. I haven't had a single problem with it. It may have to be a Dualshock though, I'm not sure on that though.

360 normally works on PC if you have vista or Windows/7

but for PS3 yea you need a special program for that

theres a bit to get it working but it works great :D

its very possible cuz ive done it myself.  you can even use a psp as a controller if you really want to.  theres a few plugins and stuff like that you gotta download.  just google it or check some youtube videos, thats what i did.  be patient though, it takes some tinkering to get it to work efficiently.

Wow, thanks for making this thread because I was thinkiing I'd need to get a 360 controller to use a controller on PC and I thought that would be a waste of money given it'd get only a small amount of use. Now I know I can get DS3 to work on PC I can save my pennies for something that will be better value for money, like some PC games that use a controller.
