Forums - Microsoft - Microsoft want to see more regular Halo releases

Before anything else, I want to see what a non-Bungie main Halo game will be like. While I remain optimistic that 343 will do a good job, I still need to experience it to know for sure. I hope they can deliver.

As far as the frequency of releases, I feel that 2 yrs. should be the minimum.

I also like the idea of exploring more of the Halo universe, but I don't see that happening right away. Master Chief is on deck.

Although the war is pretty much over, there has yet to be an explanation of where the Forward Unto Dawn ship was heading to (unless I'm missing something).

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Redo Halo1 and 2, and I will buy them

Bungie did not make that game.

Who said Bungie did?

But anyway for the 10th anniversary of Halo:CE 343 industries should released a new 360 version.   Really just thinking campaign, but make campaign online enabled.

I was thingking the same thing

Get 343 industries comfortable and experienced with Halo gameplay while building engine for Xbox Next.

2011 - release Halo 1: HD using Halo Reach engine. Campaign Co-Op enabled.  Maybe also include Halo 1 MP maps.

2012 - release Halo 2: HD using Halo Reach engine. Campaign Co-Op enabled. Maybe also include Halo 2 MP maps.

2013 - 343 releases Halo 4 at launch of Xbox Next. This is also the next version of Halo online.

Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.

If the games are like ODST with only multiplayer maps that I can already buy on live than they won't get my money for the games just like they didn't with ODST.

If everything is new like REACH they eill get my money.

I am getting burned out from all these Call of Duty games so I would rather they just kept it the way it is and work on some more new IP while they are at it.

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

AND.... Bungie aren't going to be making Halo 4 anyway

343 studios didn't make that game either, your origional comment is silly.

So long as somebody releases a Halo Wars game. 343 studios are taking over as the lead Halo studio, and as they are a new studio, they can do whatever they want in terms of genre, though I would suspect the next Halo game would still be an FPS. When I said they, I really meant M$ as they are the ones in charge of the Halo franchise, and I would really like to see a Halo Wars 2, as the first game is one of my favourite of this generation

I see. Now that Bungie's out it's time to milk the name dry while they figure out the next big thing.

Every companies objective is to make money.  So milking is common ground with everything......

As long as they can keep the quality up there should be very few if any problems.  If they spend the money and time on development I will be there to purchase it.  So milk is good, sometimes.....
