Culturally speaking FPS's shooters are the #1 games on both the PS3 and Xbox 360 and most of the sales of those games ( on both systems ) happen in the USA and Europe.. Any console not focusing on great FPS's in those regions of the world that wants to SELL Consoles ( which obviously is the reason to exist ) NEEDS to sell what is desired.. and not try and make RPG's that people want in Asia, which is obviosly not working out so well for Sony who is a whopping 120 million units behind the 360 in worldwide game sales..

Well deserved, really. Credit where it's due.

Reach was definitely a console mover for the 360 and it'll get a nice boost effect for it. I'll also be interested to see what effect GT5 has on the PS3 console sales when it comes out. Those two games, at least to me, seem like the biggest movers for each console for the remainder of the year.
