actually i am doing the exact same thing as you are, i'll be using the ethernet transfer (you are using that right?)

Yes ure using the ethernet cable. The transfer is very easy and you get step by step instructions. All my data got copied/moved. There are some improvements to the heatsink and fan, power consumption and apparently wifi. The latest PS3 320gb is the one to get.

Wifi is better in range? or.... ?

The Wifi improvement is a mistery. sony keeps quiet about it. I think they dont want to discourage potential customers from getting older versions.  Anyhow the wifi in my phat worked well and havent tested the new one yet. need to downlad some games to see if its faster. Also seen the 120 gb Slims for £199 already!

IMO the Wifi of my PS3 slim 120gb SUCKS! My console is 20m from the router, and it still gets low signal and errors.

My PSP and Wii are a lot better than my ps3 in this aspect o.O

But i think i'm the exception here...Some people also have problem with PS3 Linksys WRT4G

Poeple in Sourthern Germany and France near Basel Switzerland might want to get their PS3 at Saturn Basel this Friday: 320G PS3 Move Starter Pack for Sfr 349 = 250 Euro. (All PS3 stocks for the local Mediamarkts were rerouted to Saturn. It will be a slaughterfest at the Shopping Centre as there are tons of cheap stuff is advertised...)

Didnt have time to download all the games  so I only played the table tennis and that game where you play with the shadows. it was cool experience. Move is very precise and responsive. I will give it a go again at wknd.

Am also going to post some pictures I took whan checking the PS3 3D update. Amazing - it plays 3D movies same like the blu ray player I got for free when purchased my new tv.
