Why is being a mishmash of 10 fantasy novels a bad thing? I can't remember the last fantasy novel I was praising for originality. Maybe I'm blind though, because I think Oblivion is much more heavily cliched than Dragon Age is.

How so, to know a story you need ears not eyes

troflmao!

@marciosmg

It's actually pretty weird that they are gonna change Dragon Age to be more like Mass Effect considering that Dragon Age sold better than Mass Effect 1 or 2. 3.2 million shipped by the end of december.

BioWare make serious and concerted efforts to listen to their fans and wider internet feedback. They're one of the best companies in the business about this sort of thing.

The changes wont' affect sales so much as the experience of playing the game.

They are changing it to please fans of Mass Effect not original Dragon Age and considering Dragon age sold better it's weird. It's great that they change combat system of console versions because as far as I kow it was somewhat bad but If I have unterstood right they are going to change combat system of PC version also which was already great. Also one of the highlights of Dragon Age was that how customizable it was. You could play as Dwarf, Human, Mage etc and you had unique experience every time. Not anymore.. Why make these two games so similar when both Dragon age and Mass Effect have their own fans and both sold also great?

ITs because ME1/2 were exclusive

Now when you see ME2 becoming multiplat, see it fly past 3 Million and more in sales!

Im starting to feel sad. Not only no one responds to my posts but they ignore the fact that I already said that.

I feel alone

All by myself.....

It's true that Dragon Age had one version more but I seriously doubt that year old port of ME2 will sell that well on PS3 considering that it doesn't get even first game. Those Dragon Age numbers are also over half year old so it has sold more than that today.

Sure, but my point is that had a PS3 version of ME1 and 2 released at the same time as 360 and PC, ME1 and 2 would have sold a lot more, on par with Dragon Age (maybe even more).

So, what they are doing makes sense to me.

They're not doing it to please Mass Effect fans. THey are doing it to integrate suggestions put forward by people who played Dragon Age.

If that was true  they would have fixed the bugs that riddle the console versions of this game instead of pumping out more and more DLC for the game. There are now bugs in the main game that are caused by the DLC and bugs in the DLC itself.  But they dont care and thats is eveident because there are no fixes for them yet, despite these problems littering their online website forums. Because of these problems,  Dragon Age will never be more than a decent game, and it will never reach the status of a game like Oblivion.

I am talking about features.

They are historically bad about bugs, yea, so it has always been.

I don't know about this "dragon effect" mix. Dragon Age: Origins was a very good old-styled rpg. The story itself was nowhere near as cliched as oblivion and had an interesting gameplay mechanic. Sure the game was a bit bugged, but almost all of Bioware's games are. Besides, the amount of tinkering and mods available for this game on pc's and their quality are super.

To count things off, i had a special skin mod for every more important character (Leliana and Morrigan look simply outstanding), a mod for wardens to distinguish them against normal humans (awesome eyes), mods for better high-res textures of everything, from weapons and armor, through walls and buildings, ending with scenery and characters. The only problem is the amount of graphic power needed to support this fully :P.

If there's anything that i would like to see in DA2 is bigger and richer dialogue options. And it seems that's exactly what i'll get.

If i lose access to this profile as well....I'm done with this site.....You've been warned!!.....whoever you are...

Happy Wii60 user. Me and my family are a perfect example of where hardcore meets casual and together mutate into something awesome.

To be honest, guys

THis doesn't sound like Dragon Effect so much as Dragon Age with better animations

Then how does that make them a great gaming company if they have games with tons of features but riddled with bugs to the point you can barely finish them at times?  And then ignore those bugs and just pump out more and more DLC which also breaks the game.
