Sony OWNED the competition at TGS

According to people attending the show it was pretty even.

"Closing off the Tokyo Game Show today, CESA held the Future Division ceremony for its annual Japan Game Awards.

The Future Division awards are given to upcoming games based off votes from Tokyo Game Show attendees over the first, second and third days of the show. Attendees were able to pick from 183 titles due out over the next year.

The winning games are:

  • Idolmaster 2 (Namco Bandai, X360)
  • Vanquish (Sega, PS3/X360)
  • El Shaddai (Ignition, PS3/X360)
  • Gran Turismo 5 (SCE, PS3)
  • DanceEvolution (Konami, X360)
  • Dissidia 012 Final Fantasy (Square Enix, PSP)
  • Ni no Kuni (Level-5, DS)
  • Final Fantasy XIV (Square Enix, PC/PS3)
  • Monster Hunter Portable 3rd (Capcom, PSP)
  • Yakuza Of the End (Sega, PS3)"

Even? 7/10 of those awareded games are on a sony platform...(not to mention Ni No Kuni ps3 also had great feedback) and also about the lines at the show, most of the showings for games such as MH and such had their 'tickets' or w/e they were called, taken completely within an hour or two. Andriasang had a good article of it. Only disaster Report  had issues cuz of some demo problems so they stuck to showing a video of it only. VC3 had amazing reception too. Yakuza Black panther lines were smaller in comparison because they just released a demo of it recently. Yes Kinect did pretty well too on that front.

And 4 of the 10 were on Microsoft platforms.  Based on attendee voters.....in JAPAN.  I'd say that a very good showing for Microsoft.  Since MS doesn't have a handheld I was counting console vs console where the score was 5 to 4 and one of those games was also on PC which as Sony fans are so quick to point out means it's not really exclusive.  So 4 to 4.  With each having 2 exclusives and 2 multiplats.  I'd say that's pretty even.

You can hardly say Sony owned everyone even if the vote was 7 to 4.

Japanese girls are so hot!!

How our favorite systems are just like humans and sometimes have issues finding their special someone...

Xbox 360 wants to KinectPS3 wants to Move!  Why are both systems having such relationship problems?  The reason is they both become so infactuated with desire while watching the Wii as it waggles on by. They simply want what they can't have.

The real winners are the girls.

Japanese Girls > MS (plus) Sony (plus) Nintendo

I can definitely agree it was even, but not for the games mentioned above, but rather for the Kinect titles Microsoft showed. I'm pretty interested in those.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Well.... they were cute... Cute goes a long way.
