The 3DS may be able to run a Wii game with the same effects, the same framerate etc, but the resolution will be much lower. If a 3DS had a tv cable, and you tried to play Wii games on it, they would look horrible on a normal sized tv

why do u all want ports? I want new games pr at the least remakes.

3DS has 2 screens to power.   Top screen is 800 x 240.  Bottom screen is 320 x 240.  The Wii outputs at 854 x 480 max.

3DS must fill a total of 268,800 pixels.  The Wii must fill a total of 409,920 pixels.

3DS could be 65% less powerful (pardon me for quantifying power for a moment) than Wii and still render the same thing.....relatively speaking.

people like nostalgia this gen, but thankfully   it wont last much more.
