"Many people doubted it would get to 2 million ! "

Sorry, but I'm gonna have to put a big 'citation needed' sign right there. I can't remember seeing a single person saying that.

To be honest, 3 million is a very nice milestone, and I suspect it will continue to sell well for quite a while, but the previous games in the franchise sold 3.74 and 3.13 (Infact, God of War 1 is actually over 5 million and GoW 2 is on about 4.5 mill if you include GoW collection). To say that God of War 3 was hyped and advertised a bjillion times more, and no doubt cost a lot more to create, I'm going to hold back with the balloons and streamers for the time being.

many people have said 2 million or thereabouts life time....God of War III achieved 2 million in 5 weeks. So yeah...

And adding the Collection's sales to 1 & 2 is unfair cause they include people who didn't pick up GoW 2 cause it was released in 2007 when both PS3 and 360 were out and people re-visiting the classics in preparation to 3, like myself.

People who thought LTD would be 2 million and thereabouts.., just for you scottie...

Haha, I stand corrected as to people's predictions. Nicely done.

And yeah, I agree that God of War: Collection's sales should not merely be added to each of 1 and 2 for comparison purposes

You're right GoW and miltiplayer don't really go well together which brings us to the conclusion that this game just doesn't have the full experience of, for example, Uncharted 2. This most likely means that people who buy it are only going to give it 2 or 3 playthroughs. Some might platinum it and dedicate more hours, but you're just not going to get a lot of playtime from it, which will probably result in you throwing it with the rest of the finished games pile and never touch it again, even though, the amazing visuals that this game has, you might want to showcase it to your friends every now and then to show them what the Ps3 is capable of.

You don't need to have multiplayer for a game to be a "full experience". God of War III is a fantastic game and I'm glad that SCE Santa Monica used as much resources as possible for the breathtaking single player experience they created.

Ya, I agree thats it's an amazing experience, but when that experience is over, there's not much else left to do with the game.
