"Radiant Silvergun, the spiritual progenitor of Ikaruga, is coming exclusively to the Xbox 360 next year, Microsoft said at its Tokyo Game Show news conference. The title is being developed by Treasure, the original studio behind both games.

Radiant Silvergun, an arcade favorite brought to the Sega Saturn in 1998, will feature online cooperative play and improved graphical fidelity on the Xbox 360. "

The holy grail of SHMUPs is coming to 360. The 360 can only now be called a shooter box... ;)

Excellent news, I'm definitely picking this game up when it's released. Brings back fond memories of playing it on my Saturn back in the day.

as an owner of an original sega saturn copy I am quite happy that more people will get exposure to this game..

 

I guess we'll see if the Western world will think this Treasure game is overrated or god.

 

Plus I am also wondering if this will be the "Saturn" version or arcade.. Big difference there..

Propably the western world does not care about this game much.

Well I'm western and I find it amazing so...

Its not going to sell massive but reviews on this should be great. The original still plays amazing.

I am pumped also.  I heard they are doing a "revamp" of the chain system.  This and FirePro Wrestling coming to the 360 (using avatars this time) have my interest piqued.
