Forums - Microsoft - Halo Reach loads much faster installed.

Wait, are people actually surprised by this?

I know Halo 3 loaded slower but that's because it was built with playing from a disc in mind, it would be stupid for Halo: Reach to be built like that.

The only reason it's surprising is the differences. I recall reading an article a while back with benchmarks of a dozen or so games, and in most cases the difference was about 10% at most. Seeing some real optimization on this front is great to see. As a non-Slim owner, any less heat in the box is a good thing.
