Forums - Sony - Ico PS2 vs Ico PS3 HD Screen Comparison

but... but.. the washed-out soft lighting visual style is the stuff that made Ico special... never saw that in a game before... they made the game with the intention to substracting design..  now everything is crisp and clear... :(

They made it that way because of the limitations of the hardware and lack of innovation in programming for it at that point in its lifecycle. Trust me, a game looking better is always better than a game looking worse.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Is it always so....grey?

May have to pick this up. Never played ICO and I've only ever heard good things about it. Shadow of the colossus was amazing.

Dreams come true.

Day 1 for me

I'll probably re-get the set. I might like SoTC more if it has better frame rates.

This!

ICO looks better on my tv than that "original version" screenshot. Its not a very good game anyways, SOTC should really shine though. I love how people are WOWing over a game that looked pretty poor on PS2(being it was released in the first year or 2), being remade to look like a average PS2 game.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

It'll come and go without me buying it.

This * 3.

If they don't improve the framerate, this remake or enhancement fails... though I assume it will improve as GOW collection did.

Graphics were fine. But the improvement here is welcome :)
