Forums - Gaming - Should i buy a 360 or a Wii

Get a 360. It has way better games.

I have a wii and it was a TON of fun to begin with, but once the fun of motion controls for games like Wii Sports wears off and you beat all the core games (mario, zelda, etc) there isn't much else.

Go with the 360.

If you read my post (and other peoples on the thread) AND his own wishlist you'll see that this just isn't the case.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy
In the past we played games. In the future we watch games. - Forest-Spirit

I was trying to be sarcastic (what with my list of overwhelming positives for the Wii), but, as I'm well aware, sarcasm doesn't translate well over text. I hoped the smiley would alleviate this issue, but no dice it would seem.

I was gonna hide it as a typo, but the truth is out there...

The Wii.  A Wii and a HD system has always made more sense to me than 2 HD systems.

ALso, if the Wii2 comes in early January I will eat my computer.  The 3DS is all but complete and we still don't know for certain if we are going to have that by January.

But does it really? Owning an HD system means you like thos type's of games. I'm not refering to multiplats, but in terms of exclusives, they're much more alike than anything on the Wii.

Wii. It by far gives you more options considering what you already own. You can play EVERY game on a 360 on your PS3 or computer at some point, but the Nintendo branded games (and other 3rd party gems) can only be played on Wii.

Yes, but if you look at his list of games, you can see that the Wii would suit him more. It depends on the type of person you are, but for him, I believe the Wii is better.

I also have an Xbox360 and a Wii- I use the Box for the more mainstream games, and the Wii for the Nintendo and Indie games. It seems sensible to me.
