With all the information to assess, I didn't have time to look carefully at the flavor text. I found something interesting:

Then the most peculiar thing he ever heard came up through his window. He heard whiny, nasally laughter and horrible, dreadful screams. He jumped to his window, and saw in the semi-darkness the silhouettes of two people. One standing who seemed to be laughing, and one on the ground clutching his head in unmistakable agony. Heart thundering in chest, Cid jumped the entire staircase and hit the ground in a rolling position. He crashed through his door again and ran towards the screaming victim.

We see from this first part that Sephiroth was killed by the laughing man.

The person who was laughing had left the scene. He saw a person on the ground with silver hair and a masamune. Cid's eyes widened and excitement flew thrugh his veins. The figure was stirring very slightly and was on his side. Cid turned him onto his back.

He was chuckling feebly. His eyes were full of insanity.

"Ha... ha... ha... I'm gonna die... but not before... I have my revenge... we poisoned the one who is calling himself this pseudonym... KANTOR."

We already know that GoW's story about killing nen-suer was bullshit. Also the story only mentions one killer which is good since we already have someone who claimed the kill: Kantor.

But wait... what character in the Final Fantasy series is well known for his laugh? The one and only Kefka! Would this mean that Kantor is the psycho clown Kefka? Also, on the OP nen-suer's death was labelled under Destroyed (before he was rekilled), I'd say it could very well fit the result of someone being hit by Kefka's Light of Judgement wouldn't it?

Am I making any sense here or am I going crazy?
