They are working on their new PS3 game and don't care anymore.

Banned for this wow there really is not discretion among mods.
Reach has 2 million pre-orders and Bungie is now free from exclusivity. The game is finished and no one was online playing so what would they need to be doing for reach? Nothing! They very well might be working on a PS3 game only people within Activision and Bungie would know. The only thing wrong with this post is implying they don't care anymore, which I am sure isn't true, but if they are done working on the game why shouldn't they not be able to sit back and let Microsoft take care of the rest.
I guess the world has just become way to sensitive, or mods to power hungry but either way this should be a non issue.

That was trolling. Bungie has stated numerous times they will continue supporting Reach after they have parted ways with MS.

Maybe so but you have to admit that you have seen worse go unbanned and it didn't even derail the thread like most ban worthy posts do.
Now I am just guessing here but the OP asked why we haven't been getting news updates and I would probably say at this time Bungie doesn't care to advertise their game anymore. It is hugely hyped, being mass promoted by Gamestop and Microsoft thus it would make sense for them to not care about updates and promos anymore.

Dude, I've been banned for less...and actually, it did derail the thread a bit because you took the bait. Either way, it was trolling, and last time I checked, that is a bannable offense.BTW, I am the OP and I didn't report him because I didn't feel it was that bad, I was actually about to side with you when I realized that he did deserve to be banned for that.
As for your second point, It's bungie's website, they want traffic there, they said they would be providing mappacks in the future, and they have other games that they will be working on. Also, updates are not strictly advertising, their fanbase is the largest group of visitors to the website, and the fanbase is salivating for updates on how things are going, or perhaps another video, even a "hey, we are working on the network, and beefing up the servers and working on last minute patches."
