I prefer to buy PSP games from the PSN instead of at retail.  I think the games run a little better/faster when they're on a memory stick.  Maybe they do.  Maybe they don't.  Well, the last three games that I bought brand new (MGS Peacewalker, Hot Shots Tennis, and Valkyria Chronicles 2) have the option to install data to a memory stick......which is weird because I already have the games installed to a memory stick!  It's like downloading MGS4 to a hard drive and still having to install the data!!

So here's my question:  Does installing these games improve performance?  Anybody have any links/solid info?  My memory stick is filling up and I could use the extra room.

Damn.. I was always under the impression that you would have a bigger stick... :(

I installed with peace walker but that was the retail version. I have no clue about this double install business.

Hey!  For most people, it's big enough (16gb)!!  Besides, no matter how big a person's stick is, it could always stand to be a little bigger, right?

Yeah.  Peacewalker was the one that started this nonsense, as far as I know.  I had to install it to get some of the extra features.  It makes no sense!

Features probably there just because PSN versions are no different from retail disc. Just like PS1 classics. From my experience with the PSP, the games do load quicker when on the memory stick, btw.

I think the first game with an install was Dissidia. Could be wrong but i know dissidia had it and that hit japan before Peace Walker.

I guess you could install it to see if theres any noticeable difference and decide if its worth the space.

Kingdom hearts birth by sleep has an install too :) .... I don't hear anyone talking about it though on these forums even though I'm loving the hell out of the game XD

OT Been wondering about it myself, i dont think Double install will do anything i dont Know why it stays there.
