Forums - General - What band or musician has the biggest emotional impact on You

pantera.  So much hatred.  so awesome

Wow so much rageI like the music,  I am amazed that the aggressive singing style doesn't destroy the vocal cords or their lungs don't exit the mouth

Around the Network

Micheal Jackson - He's just a joy to listen to. Sometimes his songs are fun and don't have a heavy meaning, and sometimes they're filled with emotion and meaning.

The Beatles - The only band that can bring out 100% pure joy. They're fun, clever, and extremely talented.

Kurt Cobain (Nirvana) - His message and symbolism is so well layered. His music is makes me want to get angry and rip someone apart at times, but then it makes me cry. Not to mention the technical side of it is pure genius.

Jimi Hendrix - Inspired my own musical dreams, greatest guitar player that ever lived.

Double Post. I blame the internet...

You like music? This is an outrage. I am outraged!

I dunno, I'm not that emotionally attached to my music... And I generally don't care about lyrics.

my favorite 3 bands are Shiina Ringo, Radiohead, and Nirvana.

but, Nirvana and Shiina Ringo... I'm kinda emotionally impacted by... but more by the way they sing their song's. Than what they say. It's kinda hard for me to explain.

Pink Floyd.

Dark Side of the Moon has a very special meaning to me, I listen to it a lot when I feel bad, and it always cheers me up, and inspires me.

Bet with Dr.A.Peter.Nintendo that Super Mario Galaxy 2 won't sell 15 million copies up to six months after it's release, the winner will get Avatar control for a week and signature control for a month.

Shiina Ringo is a singer and not a band. The band she's a member of is called Tokyo Jihen/Tokyo Incidents.

Queen made me want to study english in the first place, back when I was 9 years old. They did everything and were  never afraid to try new musical genres. They tought me what music was all about and I never get tired of listening to their albums..

Kamelot's music and lyrics (specially Karma and Epica albums) talked about me like nothing and no one have ever done before.

Those are my two top bands.

she is not just a singer. As she is probably my favorite songwriter... ever. technically I should have listed her as a musician.

she also released many albums/compilations under the name shiina ringo with different backing bands over the course of her career long before she was ever in tokyo jihen.

muzai moratorium, shouso strip, kalk samen kuri no hana (my favorite), and Sanmon Gossip to name a few.

The albums released under tokyo jihen, are.  Kyouiku, Adult, Variety, and Sports.
I like like the albums released under her name better. Particularly Shouso strip and kalk samen kuri no hana. Which is why I specified her and not tokyo jihen.
