Forums - Nintendo - First look at Dead or Alive: Dimensions for the 3DS

@Foxtail  hold the phone there buddy, are thos Guilty Gear games available in the US???? If they are Im going to get at least one, no joke BlazBlue has piqued my interest in that series.  Cant give too much credit to those compilations( even though I have the KOF one) and Mortal Kombat that was just a port of a previous gen MK game, which sucked last time I checked.  IMHO this is not an impressive list of fighters compared to the others, hell the PSP has a better selection than this. SC2 was the best selling for GC cause it wa the best version Link>everyone else. Im not hating on Wii but when it comes to fighting games your better off elsewhere

Yes, both Guilty Gear XX Accent Core & Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus were released in N.A. on the Wii.  First one is pretty cheap on amazon.  Enjoy!

Most fighters this gen were multi-platform but made with HD assets so no Wii version.  The only reason Wii got Tatsunoko vs. Capcom was because it was first developed on and released on the Wii Arcade board.

@foxtail  just checked thanks  probably get the second one cause its the better version. sucks that Wii dont get that much fighting game love. oh well, im doing my part

Eh, why not count VC?  Wii's getting a nice little library of NeoGeo games on it, including plenty of fighters (Fatal Fury 1/2/Special/3, Samurai Showdown 1/2/3, KOF 94/95, Galaxy Fight, Waku Waku 7, World Heroes, Fighters History Dynamite).  We'll probably get a lot more, including greats like Mark of the Wolves and Last Blade 1-2.  Now that Capcom's supporting VC Arcade, I bet it's only a matter of time until the SF2/Alpha/DarkStalkers ports start rolling in too.

@Jarrod I dont count VC because those ARE NOT Wii games their simply emulated game put on another system. By that definition my PC could do all that and more, but i would count those emulated games for it. I also hate VC all those NEOGEO games are 9 bucks. YOur better off just spending your money on the cheap compilations. AS for arcade no one is supporting that there hasnt been a game released on it in months. Hell all those Capcom games were already released on PSN. VC has gone down while PSN/LIVE has gone up.  wish that wasnt the case

The only "cheap compilation" with Waku Waku 7 and Galaxy Fight is on PS2, and goes for upwards of $40.  That's $20 per game rather than just $9!  :/

VC emulation is also more accurate than all the Neo compilations on Wii/PS2/PSP btw.  True low res output can't be beat, and really becomes clear when you put them up against the cheaply upscaled collections.

And no, Capcom *just* announced VC Arcade support.  Their first game was SonSon and it came out 2 weeks ago.  Their next is Exed Eyes (aka: Savage Bees), coming out before the end of the month.

First day buy for me. Dead or Alive <3

@jarrod  where the hell do you live?? cause in the US we didnt get SOnSOn last game we got on VC was Samurai Shodown 3 (another waste of a game) you can get KOF collection for 15 bucks new. thats how much I paid. versue 9 bucks per game do the math. Ill take the "cheap" upscale compilations with bonus features over having to spend individually on each game anyday of the week. I cant understand how someone can justify buying the VC stuff at 9 bucks a pop. thats $45 bucks versus $15-20 compilation. not to mention some of the games are not even available on VC. Unless you want to support VC then your a better person than me, cause I gave up on that some time ago

I live in NYC.  We haven't gotten Capcom arcade games yet, but I doubt it'll be long.  We actually haven't gotten Galaxy Fight and Waku Waku 7 yet either (Japan did), though Vic Ireland confirmed both are coming (probably after Aero 2).

And as always, buying on VC is a case by case thing for me.  Waku Waku 7 and Galaxy Fight, it's a better deal, no question.  Cheaper and better emulation (and better controller frankly, CCPro >>>> Dualshock for 2D games). KOF Collection, I could see going for the collection instead, unless you just wanted KOF95 or something.  That's what I did with Samurai Showdown, bought SS2 on VC as that's the only one I really wanted.

Ironically im in that area, but IMHO your going for the overseas things im not really counting that cause Ihave no access to it. At least with PS3 I could make a Euro accont and Japan account and get their stuff that way. Is there a way to do that with WII??? I dont know what a Waku Waku 7 is and honestly I wished I shared your optisimism for VC, but in terms of America and our crazy license battles I dont see it. hope im wrong. Its also case by case I was really jusr referring to the fighting games which BTW every fighting game for Wii supports classic control so its not an issue. So until they release some crazyiness like Garou:Mark of the Wolves im sticking to compilations.
