Forums - PC - Amazing Guild Wars 2 demo presentation!

game looks really good seems to play pretty nice too. I like the cast-on-the run mechanic the elementalist (and necromancer) has. Also nice that they are revmoing 2 classes and keeping only 8.

I feel that the Paragon and dervish classes are incomplete with their limited amout of skills.

I also really like how they are triming the skills down, best example would be the sever artery-gash-final thrust combo being thrown into 1 skill instead of 3 separate skills (if i remember correctly)

I would love to see a druid class similar to WoWs druid that can offer several different playstyles, versatility. Some good shapeshifiting skills or something like that (unlike the dervishes avatar forms...bleh)

So far i'm leaning towards an elementalist, but we'll have to see what the other 4 are. Hopefully alteast 2 of them are new.

After almost 4 years of GW1, i can definatley say this is a day one purchase, maybe even a collectors edition purchase.

I'm with you, I'm definitely getting the CE when it comes out. And I don't really think we need a druid class as such, because all the classes are very versatile, and can easily be played in many different ways.

i just saw the third video, the warrior looks really cool what with the bow not just being used for pulling.

I'm still a bit confused about the skills, they havent show many or really listed them at all (i think). That makes it seem like the bow will always give you "these 5 skills" if you're using a bow with a warrior. sort of like they are fixed, maybe its too early to know

They've shown a few every time they've revealed a new profession, so there are a few skill videos (with descriptions of course) out there, but that's pretty much it.

And yeah, everything you carry in your hands determine your first five skills. As the bow is a two handed weapon, it defines all five, but normally, the main hand weapon will define the first three slots and the off hand defines the next two. So changing your weapons is how you change your first five skills basically (elementalists change attunements instead of weapons).

Yeah I'm definitely interested in this one.

The world seems much more colorful and less bland than the first which is really important for me in these kinds of games.

And the simply fact that there's no subscription fee makes it all that much better.

Does that mean you watched the videos, or did you just say that?

I only watched the third video since it seemed to be the one with the most amount of gameplay.

But I skimmed through the two others.

Better than nothing. I'm glad you like it.

Alright, just one final bump to get this epic game some more of the attention it deserves before I go to bed.

Most impressed with Guild Wars 2.

This game looks beautiful and I've been reading their site about Leveling up, no grinding, professions, Dynamic Events, gameplay are all so impressive for an MMO. And the best thing about it is that it's FREE TO PLAY!!!

I know that I'll be definitely playing this next year on PC. Just hope it won't distract my college studies :D!
