Forums - PC - ExoPc way better then Ipad

I completely understand what you are saying. I cant imagine using photoshop on it either.  I see your point in valid ways. Such as your email response for the Ipad.  I guess look at it this way it would be the Miata of the car/pc world.  different needs different strokes.

Hmmm not in the market for a tablet, but If I were I would wait for Android. Running a desktop oriented OS on a tablet style input is as fail as it was when I bought a flipscreen pen based tablet in 2004. Great PC, a total pain to actually use. The reason tablets have only recently taken off has to do with how little interest MS has put into making Windows tablet friendly.

I don't see how it's better than the iPad.. The only upside I see is the multitasking which is coming to iPad this year anyway.. To be clear, I don't care about the openness of my devices, I just want them to work well.

But with the iPad, Apple can take access your machine anytime they want to and also delete whatever they want to. So clearly the iPad wins.

By the way, I have little hope for the ExoPC. But its just a matter of time before Dell, HP, and Acer clone it. Then its gonna be huge.

Thats what I was thinking, if a major company gets behind this they can take it really far. After all its just an overlay ui, if they can price it accordingly I would get one to use exclusivley for digital painting, Painter and Photoshop on the go, wow I would love it XD.

There are dozens of great photo editing applications on the iPad. Photoshop won't do any better. They are not very popular. What people think a slate of glass with a touch screen should be good for, and what it really is good for are not the same thing. This is why desktop OS's have failed for a decade on slate computers.

The only way I can see hardware like this being a success, is if Google releases an Android OS for PC hardware. Not sure why they have not yet done that.

If they did do that, all these devices would be worthwhile.
