To the people questioning this review.... don't... they are legit. I have beaten the campaign on legendary (i'm a pirate I know... but my little brother was stupid and logged into my account a few days ago and it permanently banned... karma lol) and what they said was true. Probably took me like 10 hours to do it on legendary as I'm a pretty good halo player. This is definetely the best first person shooter I have ever played. They keep mixing up the gameplay to make it interesting.

For people interested in the credit system, i've done some experimenting and it's all based on time. Did 5 minutes on firefight normally killing dudes... 297 cr. 5 min firefight being invincible and killing like 2 guys... 297 cr. Playing 5 min custom games was 297, 5 min of campaign was 297. The max amount of credits your allowed to get in one session is 4455. Which is 75 minutes. So I bought a play and charge so I could accumulate points but then I got banned.

If anyone has questions about the game I will answer them.

Do you know if its the same for online play?  I hope its not based on time.

Looks like another Halo 3, GTA, MGS 4, ME2  review fiasco.

So your saying your opinion is better then the vast majority's?

Yeah let's pretend there's nothing wrong with critical scores for strongly hyped games with insane marketing budgets.

Meh all I get from this is "my opinion is better then yours and thats a fact"

Each of those games deserved those scores, maybe a few probably should have gotten a bit less/a bit more but in general they deserve what they got.

The millions that play those games even today are a testament to that.

Halo Reach could score 20/10 from every reviewer and I probably still wouldn't go out of my way to play it. Halo, and most FPS's in general, just don't do it for me anymore. I remember spending many a night in High School playing Halo 2 online wih friends, as well as Timesplitters offline with that great MP. With Halo 3 I stopped playing it after I beat the campaign. (played the Online MP for a few days)

The only FPS's in the last couple years that I invested a lot of time in are Fallout 3 and Borderlands, which had more to do with the RPG/Open world aspect, as well as L4D/L4D2 for the crazy zombie fun. But those FPS's aren't like your other standard FPS's. For games like Killzone 2/Resistance 2 I only played the campaign and I haven't even played MW2 yet. But I would say I'm especially tired of the Halo series.

Although, I have spent a good deal of time playing the Perfect Dark HD re-release...that multiplayer is still so darn good.

I think Halo Reach will change this

Yeah, dude, it's probably going to get a 21/10 from every reviewer, so you might want to check it out. :P

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Fake or not, the first review was well written.

I totally hear ya. FPS genre has been beaten into us for years now and not many of them seem to catch that magic feeling we first got back in Goldeneye/Halo/Perfect Dark days. After Halo: CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3 felt lacking in a few ways, so my anticipation for Reach wasn't to expect anything better than the original...

Then I tried the Beta. Wow...

Let me tell you that this game recaptures the spirit and feel of the first game, it feels like the true Halo 2, and I am so glad they removed dual-weilding weapons that Halo2 and 3 had... the armor abilities also add a touch of new flavour to an already tasty treat. It feels like real natural progression.

Give this game a shot, you'll be pleasently surprised just how much they've upped the ante.

EDIT: And the second review seems fake or written by someone with poor grammar skills.
