Seconded. Widening would be bad.

yes it needs to be wider. i have a 30" monitor, 2560x1600, which would be fine, except i also have the font size set to high, so lots of times i can't follow the threads because the text gets cut off :(

PLEASE!!!! PLEASE!!!!
@topic,
To hell with you people!!!
@ioi,
If at all possible, please offer some sort of widescreen option we can set in profile. I cannot stress how much I want VGC to be wider....actually here let me show you what it looks like on my desktop.....
maximized on a single monitor(click for full):
maximized on both monitors(click for full):
I know you have tons of stuff to work on but if this is the sort of thing that you think can be knocked out quickly I cannot begin to describe how much I would love for the site to be variable width. Since everything is php based I would think it should be pretty easy to change.
PS - PLEASE!!!
edit: PS - yes I know those shots are old, but the width of the site is the same now as it was then.
@ioi, DON'T DO IT! It's a trap!

Guys, if you have widescreen 1920x1080 monitors, you shouldn't be browsing maximized anyway. Put your browser on one half of the screen and something else on the other half. Did you really spend that much money on a monitor to browse the web in widescreen?
dont change it! plus new members may not want to join due to having to scroll 24/7

feel free to add me whenever (just PM me to let me know)

At work I have 1024x768 and at home I have 1920x1200 there is a big difference, however leave it how it is...
One thing I would suggest is enabling something in the forums that stretch out individual posts if they have large images in them...

that is why I have two monitors =P
I'm not asking for the site to change for everyone, just to offer an option that lets you view the site in variable width.
