It still doesnt say sold out on amazon.com, but I still cant preorder it, maybe it's just an error with the site.

Bungie is assuming that because Amazon has cut the release date shipping on the legendary edition, they do not have enough in stock to ship them out to everyone who's preordering (I would figure Halo garners more release date shipping than an overwhelming majority of games). I think that's a fair assumption to make.
