Forums - General - When did you become a MAN? (or woman)

My father (the Norse Viking he is) sought to it that I would become a man really quick.

It was summer. We were sailing. Then, my father and I shared one.

My first beer.

I don't remember how it tasted because I was way underage, but I've loved beer ever since. German Schwarzbier are probably my favourite kind of beer, and when I was in London I grew really fond of Ales as well.

So how was your first step into becoming a man (aka having your first beer)? Any favourites?

Doubleshots of Jack daniels when I was 15 or 16.

Time for hype

My first was when I went to college.  I went to a party with my brother and got hammered.  His friends were shocked on how much I drank so I felt really manly.  By the end of the night, I had like 15 chest hairs.

My first beer was when I was 14, my Dad gave me one when my mom was out with her friends one night and I asked him about it.  It was an MGD I believe, not great but I drank it anyway because I thought it was cool my Dad let me have one, and  thus he became the coolest man in the world after that.

As for what i drink now,  mostly Warsteiner.  I try and stay away from Budweiser and Miller products as they tend to make me sick and give me headaches,

I first stole some beer from my uncle when I was about 8. Tased terrible (yuck). After seeing the effects that alcohol has on peopel I swore to never to drink ever... And I have kept my oath. The last time I drank anything was years ago when I drank wine at communion.

About 10 or 11, I got given a half of bitter from my granddad. It was a little strong for my liking but I love strong ales nowadays.

Having a whole beer? Never, I hate the taste. But tasting beer? I don't even remember, I was pretty young. I guess my mom let me taste some.

But drinking something else (besides a glass of wine with food), I was probably 16 or so. Not that I drink much or anything... In fact, I drink pretty little.

I became a man the day I killed a homeless man solely for sport.

Hm, that's really hardcore! Did you enjoy a beer afterwards?
