Forums - Sony - PSEye can be a pain to position, but here is a neat trick.

what about people who have flat tvs like me?

What do you mean by "Flat TV"?

You mean a TV that is like an inch thick?

Same trick in that situation. The PSEye wire just needs to have a little weight pulling it down to get the flattened portion of the base to grab hold of the front of the TV.

PSEye knew flat TVs were coming! PSEye is future proof!!! O_o

Flat and rounded,  ironically its a bravia tv, and i can't place the PS Eye on it (i have the PSEye)

i'll probably have it under it.

Well yes you can. I have the same TV and it seems to work for me.

Now that I think about it, why is the stand shaped the way it is? I can't seem to find an explanation as to why it's not a full circle. Unless...it was meant to be used that way but no one knew about it...

I used to wonder that all the time. It always made no sense to me.

I used to think that it was flat so that way if you rest the PSEye against the TV stand (base) it would prevent it from being able to turn left/right, which would happen if it was round.

The PSEye seems to have a mind of it's own sometimes if not up against something.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Nevermind, it works, thanks to its bottom surface

Yeah my tv and PSeye are dusty , need to clean them up.

obviously , so you can have it ontop of your tv without the rest of the circle popping out.

I don't have this issue anymore with my new set-up but with my old this info would have definitely come in handy. Still nice to know for future reference.
