Forums - Sony - PSEye can be a pain to position, but here is a neat trick.

If you have a PSEye like I do you will know that it can be a total pain in the ass. This is because the wire is right in the back and the stand is so small. The camera actually tends to turn to the right and/or left all the time due to the weight of the very long wire.

Well I was checking Kotaku (OH NOEZ!!!) and Dr. Marks showed them this really cool trick. I for one am glad they pointed this out because it just solved my PS MOVE setup. I have been wondering where I would position the camera.

You know, I always wondered why the base was round at the front and flat on the back. It looks as if during manufacturing  1/4 of the base got cut off.

Nice to see that flat, cut off portion has a use.

Very cool trick.

I don't own a PS Eye, for now, so I had no way of knowing it had been built that way. But indeed, cool trick!

Luckily my LG LCD is somewhat stocky (2007) and the top has a flat plain about 1/2 inch thick and it stays very well, but this is a good solution for when i upgrade to an LED

lawl that's awesome. I can do it with my TV to! Thanks!

What do you mean by "Flat TV"?

You mean a TV that is like an inch thick?

Same trick in that situation. The PSEye wire just needs to have a little weight pulling it down to get the flattened portion of the base to grab hold of the front of the TV.

PSEye knew flat TVs were coming! PSEye is future proof!!! O_o

Flat and rounded,  ironically its a bravia tv, and i can't place the PS Eye on it (i have the PSEye)

i'll probably have it under it.

You should watch the video. His TV is flat with a rounded back too. It will work on your TV.

This trick is precisely for people who have TVs like yours.
