$49.99 adjust for inflation from 2002 to 2010 is $60.58. So in the US, the annual increase is just to cover inflation. That's $5 per month when purchased annually -- not that bad. (It was $4.17 -- so the increase is a candy bar per month).

How? They profit massively out of Xbox Live. If you want to play online (which most people do), you have to pay for it, whereas other services out there you don't.

think of the time tho...Reach and kinect are about to come out. Many won't care about pricing live a bit higher when it comes to those cuz well people love them, especially Reach. It IS good timing imho also

The price hike kinda sucks but in all honesty I would pay $50 a month just to play Halo Reach (hope MS doesn't see this post 0_0)

MS have actually been pretty giving over the past few years when you think about it.



So? I don't care about that worthless stuff, ESPN, Facebook, Twitter, Netflix, Last.fm, etc. I care about gaming services, not that stuff.

And if I think about it, LIVE needed to be cheaper the past years. M$ is just being greddier than ever before.
