What's your two home console combination of choice?

I went PS3/360.

I'm most likely to get 360 as a 2nd console (but only used, after 720 comes out). Though it became a little less likely once ME2 was announced for PS3. The Fable series, and maybe Alan Wake, are the only remaining games that provide me with an incentive to get a 360.

PS3/Wii is only a little less likely. I fancy a bit of Zelda, but nothing else grabs me from the Nintendo stable. And my dislike of anything Mario makes me want to avoid association with the platforms on which he appears; I think it's that greasy pimp's moustache that makes me want to avoid him.

This console Generation I started out with a Wii, followed up by a PS3. I personally think that's the better combination out there, but yeah, that's just because we tend to universalize our tastes and values. In my case, both Nintendo's and Sony's exclusives are awesome. Then you have some really nice third party games for the Wii and the same with the impressive multiconsole games offered on the HD twins for the PS3.

I was interested only on the Mass Effect and Alan Wake games for the 360, not much more than that. Halo and Gears aren't appealling to me.

 

So, what about you? What is your two home console combination of choice (or what would it be, if you had to quite one or get one more)? Why is that?

Agree 100% with everything you just said. And I went from Wii to Wii and PS3 as well. Freaky.

That's only for Shooters, RTS or WRPGs really.  And even then, you'll miss some genre landmarks like Halo 3/Reach, Fable II and Gears 2-3.  I'd say it's more the reverse, a 360 more makes a gaming PC mostly irrelevant at the moment (just Blizzard games for PC mainly aren't coming over these days).

As a JRPG fan, a gaming PC is basically useless to me anyway.  That's why I got a 360, for exclusives like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and (english) Tales of Vesperia.  I wouldn't mind a better version of The Last Remnant though.

I agree with you. That's why I got a decent desktop pc a couple of days ago. I just finished Mass Effect and started the second one.


I'm on this bandwagon, just upgraded a bunch of components and getting back into the PC world for the Mass Effects and RTS games that i'v ebeen missing out on for so long. Also have a PS3
