i just wanted to share the memories, i wasn't there back then but i was a lurker.

they also put something with the ps3's best game goty reward

at the end they said "PS3 is a dissapoinment software wise" then they showed lair and a guy flying and dying off the dragon in lair, and then they said "We can only expect  the worse".

Very funny, and don't get me started on the comparisons...

Back then, there were only about 50 forum users that are still active today.

Gamespot or Gametrailers?

Back then nothing really impressed me graphically or gameplay wise, you can blame God Of War 2 for that, jumping from PS2 to PS3 (with GT Prolouge on SD TV) was a huuuuuuuuuuugggeee disapointment, so i just went and bought Valkyrie Profile 2 and that helped out a lot till i got other games like

1) Assassins Creed the first one

2) Need For Speed Pro Street 

3) MGS4

4) Heavenly Sword

in that order , when i got AC i was amazed at first by the graphics and all, then was disappointed to near insanity at how repetitive it was and how shallow it was , then got NFS Pro Street and i sold it two days after, i was about gave up again on HD gaming and played more PS2 games , finished the games i didn't get to finish , then the Awesome and mind blowing game released and that is MGS4 and that game singlehandly brought happiness and it basically told me "The Best is yet to come" , then after that i was very leaning toward buying PS3 exclusives (can't blame me right?) , and got Heavenly Sword which is another game that i really really enjoyed.

i got Uncharted 1 really late , like 2 years after, but the moment i finished it i went on youtube and found the teaser trailer of Uncharted 2 and i lol'd.

edit : i forgot to mention GTA IV , it was a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuugeeee disapointment , i haven't bought it, borrowed it , and i didn't have the heart to play it until the later episodes were released on Xbox , then i bought it just to give it another chance as i saw a lot of people saying its the best thing ever and all and we're (PS3 only owners) we're missing out on one of the best DLC this gen, but... was AGAIN disappointed hugely.

I'll finish the bolded for you..... it was never a 90% rated game at launch.  It was my favourite game on the PS3 that arrived in the first couple of years but in all honesty it was a 8/10 game at best given the repetition and lack of replayability.  Don't forget it didn't even have trophies at launch.  Uncharted 2 really did polish something good into a greatness.
