Forums - Sony - How many of you bought EyeToy for ps2?

I for one never even thought of bying it.I remember seeing it once in our local gameshop at stand I didin't even realise its Ps2 hardware. And I can't remember single game for it..Hmm.

If Sony is thinking Move will do like Eyetoy, which according to wikipedia has sold 10,5m on 130m userbase..Not bad?

i got it for christmas one year but i never used it since my bedroom was to small, until my sister got a ps2 then i gave it to her

I did.  I thought it was fun when it worked. However it very often wouldn't because of lighting or color.  Lot's of interesting concepts but ultimately not worth it because of technological limitations. I was eagerly awaiting the sequel but they never made that many games for the Playstation Eye which I have already purchased.  Move brings a second life to PSEye.

I've had one borrowed for so many time that it ended almost like being mine.

I plugged my PS2 to the VCR, and the VCR to the TV. That way I could  play and at the same time record on tape friends and family doing stupid things in front of the TV.

Later I converted the VHS tape into digital format with acceptable video quality, made a videoclip with the best moments with random effects from windows movie maker with "Jingle Bells Rock" as background music.

Xmas eve, everybody a little bit drunk already, yeah, it was a blast to see :]

If it wasn't Eyetoy it would be a more boring xmas eve.

You guys getting move or kinect could do the same with a digital box I guess.

I did, it's the only thing the kids were able to play. Whenever kids came over at parties, that's when the eyetoy got pulled out. All the other games on the PS2 were too complicated. Don't have time to sit with them, explaing how to play, what to do and read for them... ¬_¬

I have 3 Eyetoy cameras.

Gave one to my sister and use one myself with Skype.

Me, I bought Eyetoy Play, and Spytoy, they were fun.

I now use it as a webcam on my PC for Skyping. My nephews bought Eyetoy and 2 or 3 Eyetoy games. They now have a Wii, partly because they mostly liked the casual Eyetoy motion control games on PS2. I stuck with the PS family because the Eyetoy games were simply a casual diversion from mostly playing the "standard" console games.

I bought it, it cost the same as any other game and it was something radically different, a lot more so than anything released this gen. It quickly got old though, the amount of games was rather small and the concepts themselves turned stale after a short while.
