Forums - Sales - Others 21st August Up!

So which is it, the 4 gb Slim was only out for a couple of days? Or even at that it is suppose to have a bigger impact? Because I don't see how it can be judged as not doing well if it was only out a couple of days and perhaps not out at all in some of the EMEAA. I still think the 360 is doing great and like others have stated, it's holding strong but are we seeing the full effect of the 4 gb in EMEAA? I really don't know when and where the 4 gb was supposed to be released so someone, please enlighten me.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

they're just trying to hold out until halo reach's release

well the 360 slim failed in Japan when it was released

I don't think the 360s arcade will fair any better, the 360 is basically dead in Japan

I think that MS is just wasting their resources in Japan, they should focus on NA and Europe

Ah, the 4gb slim didn't really have an effect, but that's not surprising. Most retailers I checked didn't have it available for preorder, some still don't have it after release. That's a bit weird because August 20th was the official release, well... sales are overall still very good for the 360.

Weekly PS3/Wii gap remains the same although the 160gb PS3 was announced and is not available till october as far as I know. Not bad for the PS3 I guess.

Wii and PS3 hold firm in place, 360 slowing at a better rate than I expected.

I think the Wii and PS3 passing X360 in Others is on the horizon.

Hummm... more 4 weeks for 360 go below 60K.

and this means i'll win my bet! YAY! ^^

next week it should be at 60k.

No way dude it won't drop that much in 1 week.  But if you really think this then lets make a bet.

if this week was the Arcade launch, it could possibly be at the 60k mark, but i won't bet on it =P i'm not so sure, i'm probably wrong, DON'T DESTROY MY EXCIMENT OF WINNING MY FIRST BET!

no it won't go that low, and it's not going to keep decreasing at the same rate.

Dragon Quest IX is doing awesome!

I doubt there was massive pent up demand for 360s Arcade on it's launch day in those countries where it came out on the 20th. So I expect countries like UK to pretty much hold the line on 360 sales for the next week or so while people more gradually get into Arcade. Either that or people are holding off on Arcade waiting to get the Arcade Kinect bundle so the Arcade might not have much influence on sales for the time being.

Happy with PS3 HW numbers, staying steady for the time being, sitting in a pretty good position for decent holiday sales. And well positioned for some good holiday deals.

Happy that Demon's Souls is still in top 100, and will be at 100K in 3 or 4 weeks.

It's interesting that it seems EMEAA Japan (MC sales) has the home consoles almost equal:

360 77.8K 3.8K = 81.6K

Wii 58.1   18.1 = 76.2K

PS3 52.9   29.4 = 82.3K

Americas will be what sets the systems apart. It's a bit like how it was at about this time last year between PS3 and 360. But now Wii is mixing it up at about the same sales levels.
