It might do, but can the 360 version hit 2 million?

I say it definitely will. Especially considering there is room for price cuts.

its actually pretty tough for it do reach 2m.even the PS3 version to reach the same amount from what it currently is at

The PS3 also has Japan, which has had deals... and is priced 20 dollars used, but at most major game stores in hiroshima and tokyo has it at 8000yen new still. (as of a month ago, while I was there for 2 months) So it has not officially dropped there either

So ps3 will have bigger boost at price drop. How much I dunno.

all FF games are very very front loaded in Japan.prices don't really make a difference as all games are priced higher their

and FF13 has had a pricecut.it was first selling at a higher price

Final Fantasy sales have generally been front loaded, so I doubt that price cuts will be enough to really spur sales and keep the legs going.

For those that haven't played FFXIII and missed the hype, the real question is whether the game is a worthy buy or just a good rent, not how much does this game retail for? If you know what the general consensus is, you will know whether FFXIII sales can gain another 2 mil sales in its life time and surpass FFX sales.

Final Fantasy's games loses its big legs. fast.but remain on the shelves like halo, and mario do. with smaller legs

no it doesn't

in japan it is dead after the first 5 weeks and almost completely in 10

in other regions,15-20 weeks and complete most of its sales in first 6 months

you don't pay attention to my previous posts at all.  It has small legs because it stays on the shelf maybe selling a couple thousand a thousand a week. how come you could go to best buy 4 years afer FFX came out and buy it and greatest hits is available. How come Final Fantasy X international came out  later and sold more.

I already predicted it wouldn't sell 7 million. Show me how much each game sells after the first six months. including international. Yes it won't ge t to 8, but it could very well get to 7 and possibly not

but small legs that you said were compared to halo which has small legs.mario nowhere has small legs,FF legs are tiny

it almost stops selling in japan

sure you could get a game after a long time after its release but do you think if 10 people went in to buy the game, would they all get  them.most probably,so much time after release they would only keep less copies of the game.

yeah i think it might just get to 7 or just below it

and FF12 covered  5m of its 5.7m in the first 20 weeks

i wasn't saying it was exactly the same. I guess I include to many things to connect to understand what I'm saying. Sorry

But if do the calculation. After 20 weeks it did about 86% of the sales.

So for the same calculation with 13 you get 6.498 which seems about right. because it won't follow the exact same pattern.

6.498 million

In millions FFXII
you get .7 (amount extra sold after 20 weeks) /5.0 (amount sold before 20 weeks) = .14 or 14% of the product is sold after 20 weeks

so apply that to FFXIII.
you get 5.7(Amount sold before 20 weeks, though it sold a lil less I think) * .14 or 14% = .788 million in predicted sales after 20 weeks

original 5.7 .788 gets 6.488 million total.

That's kinda confusing to explain while typing and probably read. and theres other ways to get approximations. And other factors you could include.

But that's how I arrived to my quickie approximation
