But no voice chat or voice control..which was half of their E3 presentation

There probably will be a dashboard update soon after the release of Kincet and the dashboard will have motion controlls then.

Games voice recognition works just fine.



Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

Bad news for kinect seems to really bother our Sony bretheren. I suspect it is a timing issue with Kinect and the dashboard update. If they release a complete overhaul as promised for the Dashboard but do not manage to get these festures in then that will be annoying, if they then do not give firm timeline that will be bad. I suspect the Kinect device has its own driver disk similar to the HDDVD drive but I guess time will tell.

That's not cool at all, if your going to make promises then I expect you to keep them. Microsoft are better off just releasing a new console with Kinect built in, instead their rushing this thing into the market Red Ring style....



Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.

how would that keep the price down?  the mics are still in kinect, this is a software issue not a hardware issue.

really it's not big of a deal, it is still coming afterall.  the software will be done when the software is done.  all this really shows is the MS is really under the wire trying to meet  the deadlines marketing set.  as an employee of a software company, i completely understand the tough position you can get in when the higher ups disregard your recommendations and set an impossible deadline.
