I knew it would be hefty going by who made the OP

I thought just the fact they have always been rather expensive would have tipped you off before that :P

The two combined!

Still curious to know what happens if a USB comes out mid game though.

They're actually a bitch to get out (at least the new slim anyway)

Well no worry since they have them in the back. I seriously thought my 20GB only had 2, so if one is in the back you won't have to worry about bumping it if and when you may need to plug in your controller mid game. I hate plugging shit into the front of my PS3. I always need to plug in my controller and shit just gets in the way.

Knowing the people here, I doubt they never ran into a dying controller during a real gaming marathon.

I just bought 4 rechargable  AA batteries and I always have 2 free.  Unless of course I have a buddy over and then it sucks.  But I do have a single game pad that has a chord on it (I hate it though).

I have multiple rechargeable backups at arms length away ready for use, all in their own battery covers. As soon as I see that ring on the controller start doing it's thing, I do mine. It takes all of 15 seconds.

OT, no surprises here really concerning the price if the HDD. I think a lot of people can get away with the 4 GB plus thumb drive solutions. Imo, the people who actually need and use 250 GB or more are in the minority.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

I used the rechargeable battery pack, but I only had it for one controller, so when it died I would need to plug the controller in.

My AA batteries are always used on my daughter's toys. Half the time my Wiimotes don't work either because I take the batteries out of them.

Quit being so cheap and buy 4 more!  There only 8 bucks :P  :D

I would imagine they would end up in her toys as well.  Its always like that, and who can tell a child no when it comes to their toys working properly? :D

It really is worth investing in rechargeables. I have a bunch of Duracells that I got just for the 360 controllers but they end up in all kinds of other shit, including MY daughter's toys. I'm planning on stocking up soon on the Sanyo eneloops for my 360 controllers and the 5 or 6 headlamps I have lying around the house. This way I can use the Duracells for all the other household BS.

I buy AA batteries all the time in (50) packs.

Currently they are for my Wii controller (Netflix) and my daughter's toys.

I think he meant buy more rechargeables.

My 360 is gone on Tuesday, not to mention that currently AA batteries in bulk for $10 benefit me more than a $15-20 plug and play set.

I'm poor right now. Busy saving money wherever I can.
