GT5 wins best game at gamescon

Hmm really wonder how the voting system was carried out.
Intel core i7 930 OC @ 4.0 ghz
XFX Double dissipation Radeon HD 7950 356 bit 3gb GDDR5 OC @ 1150 MHz core + 1575 x 4 memory
Triple channel DDR 3 12gb RAM 1600 MHz

the voting system was carried out by pros that were there at gamescon to try everything out

No surprise. Sony is the only one of the big 3 that pushes Gamescom much. That and Europe is a heavily favoring of GT5 and mildly stronger area for Sony in general.
So yeah, no surprise.
Yeah no surprise, since they didn't even have to try very hard against the so-called competition...and GT5 is locked for GOTY, worldwide.
No surprise, was Microsoft even there?

Very mildly. Nintendo wasn't there at all.

Oh? Maybe I misunderstood. I knew they weren't doing a conference and I figured their booth as a whole was probably pretty insignificant compared to Sony's for this event.
MS was there...they had a long event which they showed their kienct and other games in action as well as they (And EA) announced several new titles too (all kinect tho if I am not mistaken)
Sony kicked the competitions butt at GC, simple as that. Move delivered on what it promised and had nothing but positive feedback all the media. And as for GT5, well it's DEFINITIVE! It's shaping up to be a truly spectacular game.
