here is a summary from the guy the sixthaxis has sent to the Gamescom:

Kinect

Tricky subject this. It didn’t seem to go down well at all from my perspective. Those watching people playing all seemed to have the same look on their face – complete indifference. Some of the games I observed worked fine, whilst others struggled a bit when using the swipe motion to flick through menus. I got really annoyed when a couple of people started a game of Dance Central – and they were obviously professional dancers with a choreographed routine as they weren’t even looking at the screen. That’s not convincing me that Kinect works guys.

My own hands on with Kinect wasn’t pleasant. It was a party game compilation and I played two of its games – bowling and some kind of monster squashing game. The bowling was ok, with Kinect registering what I was doing absolutely fine. The monster squashing game was an embarrassment as you were forced to jiggle about waving your hands whilst stamping your legs. I walked away with but a shred of pride remaining.

i don't know either, but it sounds like the game they showed in the first E3 reveal concept video

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

Read my impressions from gamescom in this thread.

TL;DR: Dance Central is awesome, Joyride is fun but it's no Mario Kart, Kinectimals and Sports didn't work too well.

I need to ask one of the proprietors in a mall nearby if Microsoft has plans of allowing the public to try out Kinect, because they did the same with Forza Motorsport 3.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

This really sounds like a fake hands on. First off everyone has said Dance Central works very well.  My experience with it concurs with that thought.  What really makes me believe it was fake was the monster squashing game.  This is trying to give a hands on to a concept that has only been seen in the Project Natal trailer when it was unveiled.

Now I have tried out Kinect twice. Once at Macys on State Street in Chicago where we gave Kinect Adventures, Kinect Sports (just hurdles), Joy Ride and Kinectimals a good lengthy try out.  We enjoyed all of them (although just my 8 year old played Kinectimals). Then we tried the Kinect again at Navy Pier last weekend where we were able to try Dance Central (Awesome) and Kinect Sports again.  Worked very well and got the heart pumping.

Yes and the content is exactly the same. Your point.  I didnt say the link was possibly false. I said the impression may be fake.

My point being, that he actually wrote a whole lot of "hands on" articles about gamescom. Are they all fake?  He is actually a well respected writer for the sixthaxis. But what about you? Who are you claiming this to be fake? maybe you just didn't like what he had to say and you just wanted to come up with a reason to dismiss his OPINION, as he very well stated!

now i dare you to go over to that site and call him out if you are so sure, and then come back when you have debunked him and tell us all about it.

good luck!

by the way, good sir, he never said Dance Central didn't work, he merely stated that the people watching seemed indifferent, and that he got annoyed when professional dancers played it who didn't even look at the screen while dancing.

but i will shut up now, as i have made my point and don't want to support the derailing of a thread any longer.
