Sure, there are certain similarities: Just like Kinect, the Activator had no input lag at all and could be used with every game, even core games.

But in the end, the two devices are completely different. For example, the Activator used infrared beams to detect body motions, it cost 150$, it was marketed with a catchy "You are the controller" slogan and required you to stand.
