Forums - Nintendo - THQ announces graphics tablet for the Wii

I'm just wondering how well this would have to do to really get continued support. Ubisoft's Your Shape sold 650,000 which seems decent enough, but they have only released one other title, Raquet Sports, that utlized the camera with Your Shape.

How frequently has a 3rd party released a periphreal that ended up getting support from any other publisher except themselves? I guess the Guitar Hero, Rock Band instruments work for each game, but other than that I can't really think of anything like this being a success. But I do think it sounds like an interesting device, sounds like the 3 titles from THQ are interesting enough, so maybe it will work.

very neat

I like this idea. Now if someone quickly remakes games like drawn to life to support his peripheral. Also - Scribblenauts Wii anyone?

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

This has a lot of potential actually.  I hope THQ markets it well, or it could be easily overlooked.   Udraw should come with coupons to get Pictionary and Dood at a discount, but I doubt it will as they are already $30.

If it reviews well, I'll seriously consider it.

I want a new Mario Paint now

I was actually thinking the other day Nintendo could do something similar for Wii as their Art Academy games for DS. Good idea by THQ. That said.....

I don't think Nintendo will be supporting this, if they don't support their own peripherals why would they support this one!!??

It will depend solely in THQ for this to succeed. More games are needed and need to be exceptional.

Ha, I mentioned Drawn To Life and didn't realize that was a THQ game as well... So clearly there will be a Drawn To Life Udraw version, nice. This increases the chances I will get this peripheral. I think it will be quite successful these Holidays - I agree with Pachter this once, it should sell at least 1 million and if marketed right it will sell much more. I wish it were $10 less though, or at least bundled with more than just the drawing software (at the very least they should add demo discs to the other games).

Yeah a demo disc for the others would be a great idea.   And definitely a Drawn to Life title.  Be interesting if De Blob 2 was compatible.

Kirby Canvas Curse on the Wii!!! That would sell some tablets. I know for sure I'd buy one for that game.

meh. it certainly looks interesting, but i need more software before i buy it. it has alot of potential, but i doubt it will be supported that much.
