Forums - Sony - The PS3 has already caught up to and passed the 360 sales!

When a console was released is pretty irrelevant. All that matters is which ends up with higher market share in the end. You use current trends for that.

Tease.

A better way to view it would be this:

PS3 and 360 are two racing cars, when the green flag was waving, 360 had a fantastic start, and PS3 had engine troubles, so it lagged behind from the start. It's trying to catch up but the attempt seems to be futile.

In the meanwhile, Wii has already finished the race ages ago, so it doesn't really matter who crosses the finish line second anyway.

"I guess VGChartz is wrong then, does ioi know that he is wrong? how much longer will the PS3 continue to outsell the 360? Wait a minute... the 360 still has a 5 million lead, and its outselling the PS3 for the last month or so? Weird..."

Uh, did you even read the OP? The 360 has a 5 million lead, but sold 5.6 million before the PS3 was even released! Get it?

You guys that said this is a wasted post, your right! But fun to argue.

The title says "The PS3 has already caught up to and passed the 360 sales!", that means that over 42 million PS3's were sold, which is false because its a good  5 going on 6 million units behind.

But by the logic of the opening post (as Legend said) 360 has out sold PS2!

OP, I think you mean that Sony sold more console than Microsoft since the PS3 release in 2006.

like it or not OP the race called this gen started when the 360 was released, just because the PS3 decided not to start its engine for an entire year doesn't mean that somehow the PS3 will automatically have a longer life than the 360.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X
