That's not true at all. Before NSMB Wii released, many people believed that the game wouldn't sell more than Galaxy 1. There were many that also felt that the NSMB Wii would do like the Wii version of Animal Crossing in comparison between the DS and Wii editions. Furthermore, many people believed that FFXIII had a shot at outselling NSMB in Japan, we all see how that 'battle' went. But then again..maybe none of these people were sane? lol.

I think DKC will sell the most. Don't think Zelda or GT will get to double digit millions in sales, But I'd be willing to bet the DKC does.

If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.

If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.

Perhaps they weren't. Lol, but seriously, we're talking about a classic-styled Mario title here. People just really underestimated Mario's brand strength.

Indeed. I don't get these predictions, especially the ones around 5 million mark. But arguing with opinions is pointless, time will reveal itself.

I think it will go GT5 DKCR Zelda . However, I do think DKCR may be a Mega huge hit. Never discount a popular sidescroller.

Holy Shit?!?

Some of you kids are insane.

Does vgchartz still have a shop? Donkey Kong will do more than Zelda and Gran Whatsitsname. We're talking about the only character that is as old as Mario here. Wii being the old school console that it is (stupid Capcom) @ 70M means DK is gonna show  GT and 3D Zelda how irrelevant the PS/N64 era was.

I'll bet a copy of DKC against a copy of Gran Whatsitsname (VG Shop) that DK will outsell GT.

Sonic v Mario didnt sell because it was a cazualz game, it sold because it was Sonic V FRIKKEN MARIO. People have been waiting for that matchup since the beginning.

Only one person beats Donkey Kong and as we all know that's 2D Mario. That matchup invented what we now know as consoles. If anyone seriously thinks a racing sim is gonna beat the King Kong of gaming I suggest you take my bet. I'll take more than one. A cellophane wrapped copy of DKC will be worth tons 30 years from now.
