Forums - PC - Application installer?

I have to install windows on my mom's computer and she has no internet connection atm. I remember that someone talked about some application for installing various programs like... the app makes a disc image or a single file. I just could not find it on the internet. Does anyone know what I am trying to find? :D

I am not quite sure what you are asking, but if you just want to make an ISO image of a folder/file/disc then you can just use ImgBurn. It also does ISO -> Disc as well.

Yeah, I know. I don't know how to explain it. :D

I am looking for a program which creates some kind of install file for applications like firefox, antivirus, codecs and so on. You just pick what you want to install from some selection. I think you talked about using such a program some time ago.

That was ninite.com. Sadly the way it works isn't completely internet ree, once you get the installer file it still has to have internet access to download each application and then it gets installed automatically, it's all automated. Sadly it seems that the feature they had where you can just download everything into a single exe file you can run is now a Pro only feature. Maybe there is a work around that, but I don't know of any.

Its a desktop, i'm assuming?

I'd just drag it somewhere that had internet, if it were that much of a problem. How would you move the files to be installed across to her computer anyway? Portable HDD or something?

What? Usb-stick. And it is a desktop.

Oh and that is not the only computer which I have to install windows again. So that file would be extremely useful. :P

I would've thought a stick would be too small, but those have been getting huge like everything lately, i guess.
