I was wrong, the lead in europe is around 10-15k units for the PS3, but the fall and holiday season have been typically 360 strongest sales spikes historically,

it is a big selling time for everything

because they release all the big sellers then,  Halo has typically been a fall release game and Reach will likely outdo Halo 3.

we will have to see for that.HALO REACH isn't the alone big release and it has come major competition

As a halo fan speaking Halo ODST has little relevance ( because of its 5.5 million in sales is lower then other halo games ) ... ODST was not based on Master Cheif ( a genetically engineered super-human) so many fans didn't eat it up... Reach brings us back to the games roots and is actually a Pre-quel going back in time

who is even considering ODST and wwhy are you even explaining this?

and is Master cheif in REACH,i know bungie said something about him but he isn't there for the most part

Overall, it's a week as we could expect, very nice for XB360, but nice also for the others, considering the slow season. Sony should cut PSP price to $99 asap, as DS is expected to drop to $99 when 3DS launches.

Sure. Unless you want Sony's gaming division to go bankrupt.

I wish Sony did give up on the psp.  Even though I have one, as cool as it is and the potential it has, it's kind of a disappointment, and I'd rather have more people/money going towards new ps3 exclusives.

Money can't buy happiness. Just video games, which make me happy.

Americas is the Strongest 360 Market if u went on Xbox Live u will see alot of Mexicans , Canadians , Brazilians and Americans... Others is a Market where Xbox has been growing since it cames out... Xbox 360 is doing amazing in Austraulia / New Zeland , UK , France , Germany , Scadinavia and Italy... Much better than Xbox 1 and fighting against Nintendo and Sony in this market this a AWESOME Achievement i can see Next Gen being dominated by Xbox Brand if Microsoft can Get into the Japanese Market... ITs Growing there but needs more ... Hopefully they will get better there just like Apple with the Ipod on Japan!

As some guy from Microsoft said long way ago "It will took more than 2-3 Generation to be the 1st in the Market".

Just like Beating the Ipod.

its not easy but its possible.

I guess you don't get it.  the mention of ODST is someone mentioned ODST's weaker then normals sales like the halo series wasn't selling as well.   The mention of ODST was to say the ODST game was not based on a Spartan character.. but based on another tactical unit that didn't have super human capabilties... Master Cheif is a Spartan.. the POINT IS the game REACH is based once again on Spartans, and not the weak -(regular ) human 'Orbital Drop Shock Troopers'.. So core halo fans will buy REACH and it will push 360 sales..

SONY giving up the PSP will mean they give up on handheld maekt which is unnecessary as they are doing well for itself

also that will prove their 10 year commitment wrong and we could have the same then for future thing Playstation

and SONY giving up PSP won't just make people go for building more PS3 exclsuive as thei is only certain amount of games and studios you can run.they would have to people go or have losses themselves.you can see what EA are facing from expanding too much

SONY needs to do something

obviosly they are doing better than last gen as ninty went the casuals way and the other HD brand was way too expensive so 360 was a cheap alternative

You can dream theat XBOX 3 will dominate.they jst won't get into japan and even in other areas PS and NINTY are bigger brands and Ninty will surely not go all casual next gen and PD4 won't be expensive

iPOD HAD NO BIG COMPETITOR as walkman was going down.ninty and PS aren't going down in japan

Ok why would sony's division go bankrupt?  Is this a legit question ?  The walstreet journal had an article that Sony's most recent posting showed their PC & Gaming Division ( which includes the PS3 ) lost money.  As a whole ( mostly thanks to Sony's financial services division Sony posted a fair profit.  But the gaming division didn't make any money and again was in the red and had to be bailed out.  Converse to that, the Xbox division ( by itself after paying bills ) posted a net profit of 38 million... We don't even have to mention nintendo who has tons of money from its record sales..

So looking at  console sales and game sales doesnt tell us what the executives are thinking, because at MS and Sony they are thinking two very different things although you wouldnt think MS being up in consoles by only 5 million would matter, you have to factor in 360 is still cheaper to make,  over the life of the console ( so far ) XB360 has sold about 50 million more games then the PS3 ( thats nearly 3 billion dollars ) , and lastly MS makes alot from Xbox Live.

So as a fan of Sony you might be wondering why Sony doesnt just drop the price.  There's no way they can win a price war right now with Microsoft whose cost to make 360's is lower.
