Well, in theory the PS3 is more powerful, look at exclusives right now, but multiplatform developers don't have the time to really show what they could do with the PS3. In my opinion developers should try to make games equal on both consoles, that's it. There are developers who showed more than once this gen that it is possible to make identical versions. Edit: To answer your question... no, it isn't due to a more powerful console.

And just out of curiousity, did you want to say with your comment that it's normal that the PS3 version is inferior?

Due to architectural decisions made by Sony, yes. It's normal that the PS3 version is inferior with similar budgets and development time, more so when you develop PC-PS3-X360 multiplatforms.

Ah ok, well, if I look at it that way then I agree. But as I said, there were many developers who succeeded in making equal versions, even in the PS3's first year, so other developers could do the same.

But I think the main reason why there are sometimes such big differences between PS3/X360 versions is because it's first developed for one console, then ported to the other one. And so I would still consider developers lazy because they just port it without really looking at the architecture of the PS3.

That's actually not the final build for the PS3 version. In the demo, there's no grass but in the new pictures sended by 2K, there is grass.

And I hope they'll fix the framerate in the final build because I heard it was pretty bad.

This, DirtyP is always doing these threads.

and btw the framerate isn't bad

Aren't we already used to lazy developers?...

Let's wait for the launch version to judge the differences. Even if the PS3 version is heavily inferior I wouldn't care because I'm not interested in the game anyway.

Why when PS3 has the better version is due to a powerful console, and when X360 has the better version is due to lazy developers?

so why do you think PS3 versions are lower quality????????????????

it surely isn't an inferior system

It's an inferior system in money/time limited scenarios. PS3 has a higher theorical limit, but you need more time (which equals money) to extract it's power, so It's natural that PS3 version is more times than not the inferior version. I'm sure 99% of the people here drives faster in a world rally car than in a F1, due to the time needed to learn to drive an F1 car, which is a very hard car to learn to drive.

PS: And I'm not comparing the power of both consoles to the top speed of both types of cars, I'm talking more of developing learning curve than absolute power.

I don't by games that are so blatently differant between the two consoles. Hoefully what boutros says is true and they improve for the PS3. Might buy it used Rockstar if your reading this! HAHAHAHA!

This isn't Rockstar.

that fine but if they start to develop on the higher system then they can do the same in that cost

uncharted 2 just cost $20m so this shouldn't be a problem

To their defence, it looks like they put all resources in to the PC version.

Its natively 3D enabled, it supports physx effects...looks top notch.

Both consoles are jsut an afterthought. Sadly 360 is easier to do afterthought developing for than PS3 :)
