I don't think I've ever seen this before.  I guess everybody's just sick of his stupid endings, so they don't trust him and think he's a one trick pony.  Or at least, that's how I feel anyway.  I only ever saw The Sixth Sense and Signs, and I didn't like either of them.  And word on the street is he just ruined a beloved anime franchise, so he's probably got a whole new batch of haters out there.

Anybody want to jump on the Shyamalan-hating train?  Or does he have any defenders?

Wow, 20 is gonna be hard to beat, do you know his next movie?

usually i would disagree somehow, but i absolutely agree with the order although i haven't seen the last airbender i've seen all the others and they really have been getting slightly worse each time.  Lady in the water was boring, and the happening was awful.

currently playing: Skyward Sword, Mario Sunshine, Xenoblade Chronicles X

I think unbreakable is his best movie, and I actualy didn't mind the village and lady in the water. The happeing though, that's the real deal, it sucks, hard. I haven't seen last airbender yet.

well, I thought The sixth sense was good and signs was decent, I still have not seen Unbreakable yet. I agree on the rest they were awful.

@Seece

It's called "Devil", It's about 5 people stuck in an elevator and one of them is the devil disguised as a human. He's teaming up with the guys who made "Quarantine".

I guess the next Airbender movie.  He's supposed to write, direct, and produce the whole trilogy.  And from now on... filming them in 3-D!

Err.... nevermind.  I guess it's Devil.  Uh... it sounds really cool!  It could be the next Identity!

I'm kinda surprised at how low the Sixth Sense is. I really liked that one. Also enjoyed Signs and The Village. Unbreakable was alright but a little boring. Lady in the Water was really bad. Haven't seen the others.

As for the order, I think unbreakable should be under the Village, but otherwise I agree for the rest that I've seen.

I don't know whether Shyamalan was sgiven an impossible task with Air Bender (after all how CAN you do a decent job of Avatar in a 2 hr movie, even if you're only covering Book 1? There's too much you have to chop out), or whether he's just proven that even with good source material he can't make a great movie.

Seems like Sixth Sense was a fluke and he got lucky with Hailey Joel. The actors carried Unbreakable, which was actually a pretty weak movie, and everything else has been rubbish.

Metacritic seems to have the measure of M. Night it seems. He's going to be in Uwe Boll trerritory soon. In fact with a 20 he's already there.

I prefer Rotten Tomatoes for my meta-review measure of movie quality (though sometimes I completely disagree, like how the other Avatar managed to review so well). Last Air Bender is on 8% there, which really is rivalling Uwe Boll.
