Are you sure about this? With the sales coming from Famitsu, I would say that the 360 will be ahead of he PS3 by 1000 or 2000.......In fact, another tied week :D
Good job Sony, the PS3 finally caught up (in sales/week, not total) to the 360. Now you need to pull ahead before MS's userbase takes over.
Nintendo continues to print money.
There is no such thing as a console war. This is the first step to game design.
We won't know who won until npd is out, it would be foolish to rule either out right now, but i'm gonna go with microsoft.
Just to note if sony can't win now then they are in for some hard times considering yet another price drop and heavy marketing.
Note: Some games in my collection are no longer owned, but have owned.
America is still the MOST IMPORTANT sector by far and the 360 is not only mantaining but growing an enormous lead over the PS3.
9.11 to 2.76, meaning the Xbox 360 still has OVER 75% of the Total HD Gaming Marketplace.
Yes the PS3 has edged out the Xbox for sales in Europe for a few weeks now, but America is where the money is at. The 360 is getting MUCH CLOSER to that magical $199 Price Point where sales should explode.

It's nice for Sony to see their sales up to 360 levels but considering they blew their wad with price cuts from August-November while MS basically had their thumb up their ass (with complimentary $50 price cut after 20 months), the PS3 is still sitting on some pretty shaky ground.

One can only dream what would of happened if MS was serious about price cuts, and did a $100 price drop...
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

They would lose a lot of money on hardware ;). I think they should do that in Japan, though, on a serious note - they're not selling enough hardware to take a serious hit from that, and it would give them a little bit more of an edge, which is what they desperately need there.
