I don't even care about the controllers and personally think it's a bit of a waste them being made, but at least they usually get used by people.

stupid commercial. Id rather play a video game when Im playing a video game, not learn guitar... defeats the entire purpose for me.

That cost at least $100,000 for the raw materials -- not to mention the cost of getting to the volcano and dropping the guitars in.

In other words, it cost about the same as a celebrity endorsement.

no it didn't as we din't know if they were real guitar and rock band equipment of just local cardboard cheap locally made on contract

getting to volcano doesn't cost much and dropping the guitars doesn't cost anything but energy present in ur arms

and we don't know if they were 5000 and most likely they weren't as they didn't look that much

a celebrity endorsement would cost more and this is  much bigger than that as it shows and proves a meaning they want to prove to people

Obviously my cost figures were based upon buying cheap used actual game pieces in the number that was specified in the video.  From the video, even if they were mock-ups, some work had to be done and they might have cost the same as a low-end real item (and since they looked all the same, chances are they were).  And I concur that it looked closer to 500 units than 5,000.

The comment about the celebrity endorsement -- followed by your comments -- show that this viral advertisement is not nearly as expensive as some others are making it out to be. So we are actually in agreement.

Looking at the detail, even if they were replicas, they were not completely inexpensive to produce. Look at the fret buttons of different color at the top and bottom of each neck and the holes, the white strum bars, and the holes in the backside of each unit. 

As for my "sig" -- I have been signing like that for almost every one of my posts since I logged on nearly three years ago.  On those posts where I have forgotten it -- or when I tried to stop signing it -- I would get asked, either through a PM or a post, why it was not there. So at this point, I am stuck with it.  But for you here, I won't use it.

obviosly they cost but compared to the original they wre very cheap and most expensive thing the electonics are not portrayed so we don't know.i'm basically caomparing it to the super price of the guitar hero/rockband ones

you get asked cause you have made it a habit and when people don't see it they sense something changed.and it wasn't ur sig,more of you were signing off.if it has a bar over it like everybody's sig then it would atleast be less annoying

Anyways its about time they released guitar hero type games with actual guitars....now this will help me learn how to play actual guitar.
