Forums - Sony - Twisted Metal Black 2

David Jaffe's Eat Sleep Play is working on porting Twisted Metal Head On to PS2. They said that some of the Twisted Metal Black 2 maps would be appearing in the game plus one or two original maps. Considering that they'll probably release it at budget price, it'll probably be worth the pick-up for a Twisted Metal fan.

I saw the'Trailer' at Gametrailers.com and to be honest, not impressed. Black 2 maps are all well and good and a few of the features look nice but if it plays like Head-on, well, I dunno, Head-on felt very stiff.

One of the most awkward things I found about Head-on is the lack of a skid turn, I know it's not much but when you never use brake in either World Tour or Black and press down+right or left to turn all the time, it makes the game feel alot different.

But then the general look of it seems a mix between the 2, Sweet Tooth appears more like his Black counterpart.

Hmm, pie.

Twisted Metal Black ruined the franchise for me a little bit. Gameplay was still fun and amazing but the Sweet Tooth in Black was stupid. The crazy ironic storly line of the 1st 4 was eneded with balck. I would like to see a new one on the ps3 with online play. I want the Story line to pick up after 4 when sweet tooth took the ring from Calypso.

The thing is, that TM 3 adn 4 do not follow the same storyline as 1, 2 and black. Black had the best storylines IMO. I mean the motorcycle canable (I forgot his name) was crazy!

 That would be Mr. Grimm

The Charcter that I played as in Twisted Metal Black.

His defense was the worst in the game, but it didn't matter, he was the fastest, the most powerful, and had the best controls.

I truly hope they make a Twisted Metal Black 2 for the PS3 with online play and leave the same controls that were in Twisted Metal Black 1, I was a god as Mr. Grimm, no one was able to beat me. I would love to beat everyone else in the world at that incredible game.

IMHO the stories in Twisted Metal Black were the best in the series.

I have to agree, Black's story lines were awesome, one of the main reasons I was so drawn to the game. I think it was one of the first two games I bought for my PS2, with Madden being the first. To this day I remember one of my only sick days from school just happened to be the PS2 launch, and oh was I excited to open the door to the UPS man with a "care package" for me. No idea how I managed to snag a launch PS2, toysrus.com just happened to have them available for pre-order less than a month before it came out. What amazing luck.
