Forums - Microsoft - Steve Jobs + Bill Gates... TOGETHER in an Interview!!

holy crap!

I watched that interview and when I was done there was $50 missing from my wallet!

On a serious note, this is actually a pretty interesting interview for those willing to watch all 7 parts, particularly if you remember this era or happen to know what they are referring to.

lmao

I suggest you purchase this then: http://www.microsoft.com/money/order.aspx

And it just happens to be a steal at 49.99 (after $30 mail-in rebate).

From my memory - so this might not be perfectly accurate - I believe it was an £100 million investment, it was for non-voting shares and microsoft sold them a few years later when apple started to do well.

"..just keep on trying 'till you run out of cake"

It is true. Apple almost went belly up in the pre-ipod days. MS gave them a crap load of money (i.e. bought stock) to keep them a float.

Yep, that was back when they were going to break up MS for being a monopoly.

If Apple had gone under, MS would have DEFINITELY been considered a monopoly.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

Actually, I was just joking. I thought making outrageous claims with no supporting documentation would be ignored as ridiculous. Oh wait, I forgot that this is how people debate on the internet, my bad.

Sarcasm doesn’t work in post format, I'm no Jonathan Swift and this is no Gulliver’s Travels

How does a 150m investment buy 30% of Apple?

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.
