That video looked awesome.. Hopefully Ubisoft come back to it next generation.

This was probably cancelled so that Ubisoft could focus its resources on their totally amazing DRM.

Wow.  The gameplay looks amazing.  I have no idea how they would pull off the shooting-behind-you-sequence though.  Take control away from you?

Something about the fluidity of that demo makes it look like a pre-rendered concept video, rather than actual gameplay. Perhaps early testing wasn't so promising.

You are probably right.  Either that, or they thought it was too ambitious for its own good.

You guys are aware these are target renders, right? It says so at the end of the text.

well, target render videos or pictures aren't generated with a game engine, but with professional video creating tools on a render farm (with lots of PCs working to generate the images, often not even these can handle it in real time)

they are usually made to find a publisher/convince them to invest in it or to clarify to the team what the vision and the "target" graphical quality for the project is
