yeah I would miss you

How dare you!

I am no troll, I just voice my opinion on something whether people like it or not.

please don't go because of me :(

I'm going nowhere. It will take more than an accusation to scare me off!

Anyways, I ask this because what many here consider to be "trolls" aren't really trolls.

Take Kinect for example. If you say negative things about it you have people reporting you for trolling and things go far enough to the point where people bait you into saying something negative because they know at the moment it could have moderation consequences.

You may end up having people not want to stay here since it seems like everything said or posted is expected to be cheerful and positive.

I like when you have two different factions. Those who do not like something and explain why and those that do and explain why. I like having positive articles about a game, console, peripheral, etc... as well as brutally negative articles on those same topics. That is how things work and it's how you get to understand something best and make the most informed decisions.

I don't want everything to end up constantly cheerful and positive. If it does then eveything is fake and boring.

Please "Trolls", don't leave us.

You know, when I first signed up for this site, I was actually pretty worried about being banned for saying something negative about something because it seemed like people were getting banned for it all the time.

I'm certainly not promoting "actual" trolling, because it can reach an uncontrollable level that becomes annoying, but there's no reason someone can't speak their mind.

Glad things have changed.  Thank you.

You're not a troll, you're a pain in the ass.

It depends on the definition of troll. You're not a troll in my book, since your basic arguments are rational (after all even when you use ridiculous arguments, it is just to prove some rational points).

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

I don't think it would change my forum visiting activity if trolls all got up and left suddenly. I tend to just read what everyone is thinking on topics without providing much input and just clarifying miscommunication and add neutral facts to help the discussion (or argument) move along as smoothly as possible. I agree with you on the two opposing (but civilized) factions all bringing facts to the table and discussing their views. It's a great way to learn about the topic under discussion.

Plus trolls make for some pretty fun reads. It only sucks when they become over-involved in a thread and practically take over it spouting all they can to support their view and attempting to discredit anything anyone in opposition has to say with little to no info to back it up.

So in short, they're good... in small doses.

That makes me worse than a troll then. Which might be spot on.

For example, within the last hour I "downplayed" a LBP story by saying that it's not a big deal. Of course someone would make me out as a bad guy after doing that, but I can back things up instead of just talking hot air. And that reveals who the real bad guys are.

I tried, but I failed.

I wanted to find that New Super Mario Bros. Wii article you enjoyed posting so much. The one that supposedly makes it out to be a clone of LBP.

I was going to use that reveal why you downplayed the LBP story, but sadly I couldn't find it.

Good thing that I got that one bookmarked.

Now so do I.
