If unsatisfied with a buisness in any way that irks you to such a degree, go somewhere else. The buisness you dislike won't get your money anymore, and a buisness more deserving will.

One of the basics of catipalism. :)

Also, add to your list Amazon along with eBay. Get quite a good amount on Amazon and buy for cheap. Waiting's the only sucky part...

A pet peeve of mine is bad customer service. If I owned a business and I found out a customer was treated shabbily I would fire their ass on the spot

Today I had a great conversation/lecture from several people about how great the Wii is.

I was running a training course for 6 people, all middle aged and much older than me, and during a break a conversation struck up about exercising. 4 of them said they had Wii's and how much they loved them, how often they used them and how impressed they were with the software, how useable it was and how great the graphics are.

They asked if I had one, I told them i had a Playstation but they they didn't know that was, but they did tell me that I should definitely get a Wii.

There's a lot of love out there for the Wii, it's just not in the place you would usually expect. I certainly wasn't expecting to get into a conversation about computer games at work with a group like that.

Nintendo have done a great job at expanding the marking and turning gaming into a normal thing, rather than a hardcore/geeky thing.

Lol, he didn't know about Wii or its games? Geez, even my non-gamer friends and mother know about that stuff. I mean, these days, if you're not familiar with Wii, you must've been linving under a rock for the past 5 years or so. You'd expect an employee of a video game store to be better informed. Maybe he was just a biased troll.

Time for hype

No wonder wii games don't sell in that store. Anytime someone comes in and asks about wii games, they say "I don't care about the wii". Any smart person (like you and I) would walk out.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think most gamestop employees are younger men, and probably work there because they game a lot, ie.hardcore gamers, which probably means they game mostly on HD consoles. And if they happen to be fanboys, they will probably encourage people to get their system of choice and try to discourage them of getting other systems.

This is just a theory and not based on any experience. (I don't shop at gamestop)

thats an awesome story. Seriously! Gamestop should either teach people about all consoles and stuff before hiring them, or hire people who already know about all of them. I don't know barely anything about the PS3 or 360, so I would be horrible for working at Gamestop.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

It could have been worse, I had a sales guy tell me I didn't want what I came in to buy and then just walk off... Gaming is so widespread and diverse now that it's tougher to really know all of it, but then again that is his job he should know a little atleast.

Most of the guys that are supposed to help you in those places are not really into the business focus of their jobs.

It happens in every single place/department of the stores, at least he was honest about "Not being interested in the Wii"
